- Code liver oil - 1 tablespoon of cod liver oil will provide you with 1,360 IU of vitamin D
- Milk - A cup of fortified milk, low fat milk, nonfat milk, whole milk contains approx 120 IU of vitamin D
- Mackerel - 3 oz of cooked mackerel contains 388 IU of vitamin D
- Salmon - 3 oz of cooked salmon contains 447 IU of vitamin D
- Tuna - Canned tuna fish drained, 3 oz contains 154 IU of vitamin D
- Oysters - A serving of 100g can contain approximately 320 IU of vitamin D
- Fortified cereal - A 100g serving of fortified cereal can contain approximately 340 IU of vitamin D
- Orange juice (fortified) - 1 cup contains approximately 140 IU of vitamin D
Please note that 'IU' stands for International Unit and there are 25 micrograms in every 1000 IU's.
